Crochet Dog Booties Pattern
MATERIALS:
Small amounts 2 colors of 100% worsted weight cotton.
Size H crochet hook.
Needle for weaving in ends.
Fits small dogs: 6-10 pounds.
Special Stitches:
Beginning Cluster (BegCL): Ch 2, (yo, insert hook in stitch indicated, draw up a loop draw through two loops on hook) twice, YO and draw through all three loops on hook.
Cluster (CL): (YO, insert hook in stitch indicated, draw up a loop. draw through two loops on hook) three times, YO and draw through all four loops on hook.
With color A ch 4. Join with a sl st to join a loop.
Rnd 1.) Ch1, 10 sc in loop. Join with a sl st to 1st sc. (10 sc)
Rnd 2.) Ch 1. Sc in same st. 2 sc in next st. **sc in next st, 2 sc in next st**. Repeat ** around. Join with a sl st to 1st sc. (15 sc)
Rnd 3.) Ch 1. Sc in same st and each st around. Join with a sl st to 1st sc. (15 sc)
Rnds 4 and 5) Repeat round 3.
Rnd 6.) Ch2 HDC in same st and each st around. Join with a sl st to 1st hdc. (15 hdc)
Rnds 7 and 8.) Repeat round 6.
Finish off Color A.
Rnd 9) Join color B with a sl st in any st. Ch 4 (counts as 1st hdc and ch 2 sp). Skip next st. Hdc in st, ch 2. **skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 2**. Repeat ** around. Join with a sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch 4. You will have 8 ch 2 sp. (This round will be used for the belt later on.)
Rnd 10.) Sl st in next ch 2 sp. BegCl in same sp. Ch 1. **Cl in next ch sp, ch 1**. Repeat ** around. Join with a sl st to top of BegCl.
Rnd 11.) Ch2, HDC in same st. Hdc in next ch sp. **HDC in top of next Cl, hdc in next ch sp**. Repeat ** around. Join with a sl st to 1st HDC. 16 HDC
Rnd 12.) Ch 1. sc in same st, dc in next st. **sc in next st, dc in next st**. Repeat ** around. Join with a sl to first sc. Finish off and weave in all ends.
Turn bootie inside out.
Belt: Chain 41 in Color A, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and each ch. Weave in ends. Weave belt through loops made from round 9.
