Easy Crochet Christmas Tree Skirt
This quick tree skirt in colors of Christmas is made from one easy to crochet motif.
Materials:
Patons "Canadia" 100 gram balls in the following amounts and colors:
3 balls red
3 balls white
2 balls emerald
Use size H crochet hook or size required to obtain given gauge.
Gauge: 1 motif measures 6-1/2 inches at widest point
Finished Measurement: Approximately 50 inches in diameter
MOTIF A:
(Make 42) With red, ch 8, join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 4 (counts as first dc ch 1 group), (dc, ch 1)11 times into ring, sl st in 3rd ch of ch-4.
Rnd 2: Sl st in ch sp, (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) into same sp, sk 1 sp, *(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-1 sp, sk 1 sp, repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of ch-3. Fasten off.
Rnd 3: Join white in ch-3 sp, ch 4, (dc, ch1) 3 times in same sp, dc in same sp, 3dc between next two 3-dc groups, *(dc, ch1)4 times in next ch-3 sp, dc in same sp, 3 dc between next two 3-dc groups, repeat from * around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch-4. Fasten off.
Rnd 4: Join emerald in 2nd dc of 3-dc group,ch3,2dc in same st,(2 dc in next ch-1 sp) twice, ch 3, (2 dc in next ch-1 sp) twice, *3 dc in center dc of 3-dc group, (2dc in next ch-1 sp) twice, ch 3, (2 dc in next ch-1 sp) twice, repeat from * around, join with sl st to top of ch-3. Fasten off.
MOTIF B:
(Make 18) Work same as Motif A, working all rnds with white.
Finishing: Sew hexagons together, following diagram and leaving one edge open as indicated.
