1/2 yard fashion fabric
1/2 yard contrasting fashion fabric
1 1/2 yard craft fuse (stiff fusible interfacing)
1 Snap and Snap Source - Snap Setter
Husqvarna Viking Embroidery Design - Disk 105 design 1 - optional
America Sews Tear-Away stabilizer - optional for embroidery design
Rayon embroidery thread - optional for embroidery design
1/4" piecing foot -optional
Fasturn Tube Turner (optional)
Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machine (Embroidery capability optional)
CUT:
(For machine embroidery - embroider first then use pattern to cut out purse)
Two - 40" x 2 1/2" strips for handles (1 of each fabric) and 1 of craft fuse interfacing
One - 3" x 2 1/2" for tab of Fashion Fabric and cut 1 of craft fuse interfacing
Two - Fashion Fabric and craft fuse interfacing of pattern
Two - Lining fabric of pattern (needs to look same on both sides of fabric)
Cut fusing
1. Press the craft fuse interfacing to the wrong side of the fashion fabric.
2. Embroidering - optional
Hoop fabric with stabilizer underneath and thread machine with rayon embroidery thread. Cut out areas so lining fabric shows through embroidery.

3. For handles, place right sides together. Snap on 1/4" piecing foot. Sew both long sides using 1/4" seam allowance. Turn right side out. (Use a Fasturn Tube Turner to make it easier.) Press. 4. Turn under raw edge of one end of handle. Insert the other end inside, you are making a circle. Stitch through all layers.

5. For tab, fold in half so now it is 1 1/2" wide, stitch down the 2 1/2" side and across the short end, turn right side out and press.
6. Put decorative side of snap on tab 1/4" from edge. Place other side of snap 1/2" below top edge of front of purse. Use manufacturer instructions to apply snap.
7. For purse, place fashion fabric and lining right sides together, stitch with 1/4" seam allowance. Leave a small opening at the bottom. Repeat with other purse piece and lining. Turn right side out and press.

8. Start at bottom of purse, pin handle with the seam at bottom, to both sides of the purse panels. Sew handle to purse panels.
