Size: Approximately 46" x 59".
Materials:
Bulky-weight yarn Homespun (98% Acrilan Acrylic/2% Polyester; 185 yds per 6 oz skein) by Lion Brand: 5 skeins #309 Deco (Col A); 3 skeins #301 Shaker (Col B). Knitting needles size 35/19mm or size needed to obtain Gauge.
Gauge: 5 sts = 3" To save time, take time to check your gauge.
Notes
- Use 2 strands of yarn held together as 1 throughout afghan
- Slip stitches as if to purl.
Afghan
Using 2 strands Col A held tog as 1, cast on 75 sts.
Rows 1 & 2: (RS) With Col A, k across.
Row 3: With Col B, k1, *sl 1, k1; rep from * across.
Row 4: With Col B, k1, *sl 1 wyif, k1 wyib; rep from * across.
Rows 5 & 6: With Col A, k across.
Row 7: With Col B, k2, *sl 1, k1; rep from * across to last 3 sts, sl 1, k2.
Row 8: With Col B, k2, *sl 1 wyif, k1 wyib; rep from * across to last 3 sts, sl 1 wyif, k2 wyib.
Rep Rows 1-8 for pat until afghan measures approximately 58"/147.5cm or desired length, ending with a Row 4 or 8. Rep Rows 1 and 2 once; bind off loosely.
