Size: Finished measurements approximately 51 1/2" x 58".

Materials: Worsted-weight yarn Dawn Sayelle(100% Acrilan Acrylic, 240 yards per 3 1/2 oz. skein) by Caron: 9 skeins #424 Dark Dusty Rose. Circular knitting needles size 10 & 10 1/2 (6 and 6.5mm), 36" long or size needed to obtain Gauge; Cable needle; yarn needle.

Gauge: 9 sts and 10 rows= 2" in cable pat.To save time, take time to check your gauge.

Note: A circular needle is used to hold the large number of sts. Work back and forth in rows as you would on straight needles.

Pattern Stitches
Border Pat (multiple of 6 sts + 4)
Row 1: (RS) Purl.
Row 2: *P4, k2; rep from * across to last 4 sts, p4.
Row 3: K4; *p2, k4; rep from * across.
Row 4: Rep Row 2.
Rep Rows 1-4 for Border Pat.

Cable Pat (multiple of 12 sts + 4)
Row 1: (RS) P4; *p2, k4, p6; rep from * across.
Row 2 and All WS Rows: *P4, k2; rep from * across to last 4 sts, p4.
Row 3: K4; *p2, k4; rep from * across.
Row 5: P4; *p2, sl 2 sts on cable needle and hold in back, k2, k2 sts from cable needle, p6; rep from * across.
Row 7: Rep Row 3.
Row 8: Rep Row 2.
Rep Rows 1-8 for Cable Pat.

Afghan
With smaller needle, cast on 232 sts. Work Border Pat for 12 rows. Change to larger needle and work Cable Pat until afghan measures 56" from beginning, ending after Row 4 of Cable Pat. Change to smaller needle and work 9 rows of Border Pat. Bind off on next WS row in knit.
