Materials List
Columbia-Minerva Mohair Reverie (1 oz., 67% mohair, 33% orlon skeins).
4 skeins of Black (A)
1 skein each of Navy (B), Bristol Blue (C), and Needlepoint crewel yarn (1/2 oz. skeins)
6 skeins each of #221 Bright Plum (D) and #228 Easter Lavender (E)
2 skeins each of #711 Blue Max (F), #184 State Blue (G), #738 Med Aqua (H), #748 Turquoise (I), #652 Lilac (J), #405 Brown (K)
crochet hook size F, OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL OBTAIN THE STITCH GAUGE BELOW.

Gauge: 7 sc=2". 7 rows=2".

CAP:
With A ch 4. Join with sl st to form ring.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc. Break off and fasten.

Rnd 2: Attach D to joining, ch 1, 2 sc in same sc used for joining, 2 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc - 12 sc.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same sc as joining, * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rpt from * around, end with 2 sc in last sc. Join with sl st to first sc - 18 sc.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, Sc in same sc as sl st, sc in next sc, * 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 2 Sc; rpt from * around, end with 2 sc in last Sc. join as before - 6 incs made. Break off and fasten.

Rnd 5: Attach E in same sc as joining, ch 1, sc in same sc, sc in each of next 2 sc, * 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 3 sc; rpt from * around. Join - 30 sc. Break off and fasten. Note: Break off and attach colors as needed.

Rnd 6: With 1 strand each of C and F held together, attach yarn to joining, ch 1, sc in same sc as joining, making 6 incs evenly spaced around, sc in each sc around. join. Break off and fasten.

Rnd 7: With G, ch 1, sc in each sc around, making 6 incs evenly spaced around. Join - 42 Sc.

Rnds 8,9 and 10: Working same as for Rnd 7, make 1 rnd B, 1 rnd H and 1 rnd 1 - 60 sc.

Rnds 11-12: With G, increasing 5 sc evenly spaced in each rnd, sc in each sc around. Join - 70 sc in last rnd.

Rnds 13-14: With A, sc in each sc around. Join. Break off and fasten.

Rnd 15: Using I strand each of A and D held together, attach yarn to same sc as joining, ch 1, place 1 strand each of j and G along top edge of last rnd, with A and D tog, working over J and G, sc in same sc as joining and in each of next 6 sc, drop A and D, * pick up J and with J, working over all other strands, sc in each of next 5 sc, drop J; with G, working over all other strands, sc in next 2 sc, drop G. With A and D tog, working over other strands, sc in next 7 sc; rpt from * around, end with J sc in next 5 sc, with G sc in last 2 sc. Join.

Rnd 16: With G ch 1, working over all other strands, sc in same sc as joining, sc in next sc, * with A and D held tog, sc in each of next 7 sc, with J, working over other strands, sc in next 5 sc with G Sc in next 2 sc; rpt from * around, end with J sc in last 5 sc. Join. Note: Continue to carry colors not in use inside sts.

Rnd 17: With J ch 1, sc in same sc as joining, sc in next sc, * with G sc in next 2 Sc, with A and D to sc in next 7 sc, with J sc in next 5 sc; rpt from * around, end with J sc in last 3 sc. Join.

Rnd 18: With J ch 1, sc in same sc as joining, sc in next 3 sc; starting from *, work same as for last rnd, ending with J sc in last sc. Join.

Rnd 19: With A and D tog ch 1, sc in same sc as joining, * with J sc in 5 sc, with G sc in 2 sc, with A and D tog sc in 7 Sc, rpt from * around, end with A and D sc in last 6 sc. Join. Break off all strands except A.

Rnd 20: With A only ch1, (do not work over other colors), sc in same sc as joining, sc in each sc around. Join.

Rnd 21: Rpt last rnd. Continuing to work same as for last rnd, make 1 rnd K; 2 rnds with A and D held tog; 1 rnd A only and 1 rnd B. Break off and fasten.
