3 skeins #169 Soft Lime (A)
2 skeins #144 Soft Violet (B)
3 skeins #101 Pink Carnation (C)
2 skeins #105 Powder Blue (D)
2 skeins #157 Sunshine (E) or colors of your choice
size K-10.5 (6.5 mm) crochet hook OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
size J-10 (6 mm) crochet hook size (or one size smaller than that used above
) Large-eyed, blunt needle

Gauge: 9.5 stitches + 5 rows = 4" (10 cm) with larger hook over polka dot pattern.

Stitch Explanation
MB (make bobble) In next dc (yarn over, draw up a loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops on hook) 4 times, yarn over with main color and draw through all loops on hook.

Note: Blanket is made in 5 strips comprised of 5 differently colored sections. Strips are sewn together and edged afterwards.

Strip I @ Make 2
Section 1
With larger hook and A as main color, chain 21.

Row 1 (right side) Dc in 4th chain from hook and in each chain across, turn @ 19 stitches including turning-chain.

Row 2 (wrong side) Chain 3 @ counts as first dc; skip first dc, dc in next 2 dc, changing to B in last loop of last dc, (MB, dc in next 5 dc with A) across, end last repeat dc in last 3 dc, turn. Note B should be carried loosely across work and fastened off at end of Row 2.

Row 3 Chain 3 @ counts as first dc, skip first dc, dc across all stitches, catching strand of B in stitches at back off work (this will prevent little toes from getting caught in long strands), turn.

Rows 4 and 5 Dc across all stitches.

Row 6 Repeat Row 2.

Row 7 Repeat Row 3.

Rows 8 and 9 Repeat Rows 4 and 5.

Row 10 Repeat Row 2.

Row 11 Rep Row 3. Fasten off at left side of section.

Section 2
Attach C at right-hand side of Section 1 with chain 3 @ this counts as first dc, dc across remaining 18 stitches.

Continue as for Section 1, using C as main color and D for bobbles

Section 3 Work same as Section 2, using D as main color and A for bobbles.

Section 4 Same as Section 2.

Section 5 Work same as Section 2, using A as main color and B for bobbles.

Strip II @ Make 2
Section 1 with C and D.
Section 2 with A and B.
Section 3 with E and C.
Section 4 with A and B.
Section 5 with C and D.
Strip III @ Make 1
Section 1 with D and A.
Section 2 with E and C.
Section 3 with A and B.
Section 4 with E and C.
Section 5 with D and A.
Finishing
Sew strips together as follows: I, II, III, II, I.

Edging
With smaller hook, right side facing and B, attach yarn at top right-hand edge dc. Make 3 sc in this corner dc, sc across top of Blanket, ending 3 sc in left-hand corner dc; sc evenly along side of Blanket, make 3 sc in bottom corner, sc across bottom of Blanket, make 3 sc in bottom right-hand corner, sc evenly along remaining side, ending slip stitch to join in top of first sc. Chain 1, turn. Work 1 more round sc with wrong side facing, again making 3 sc in each corner sc and ending slip stitch to join in top of first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
