Flat Christmas Ball Ornament

MATERIALS:
Size H hook
approximately 10 yards of any color 1/4" ribbon
approximately 1 yard of any contrasting color of 1/4" ribbon

DIRECTIONS:

Ch 4, join to form ring.

Round 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join to top of beg ch 3: (12 dc)

Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, join to top of beg ch 3: (24 dc)

Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc in next dc, * 2 dc in next st, dc in next st *, repeat * around, join to top of beg ch 3, end off. (36 dc)

Join 2nd color into any st.

Row 1: Ch 1, sc in next 4 st, ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Sc in each st across, ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Sc in each st across, end off.

FINISHING:

Starting at top of ball, with contrasting color weave around every 2 dc in Round 2, tie bow and trim ends.
