Christmas Ball 9 Ornament

MATERIALS:
Size N hook
small amounts of 2 colors of 4 ply worsted weight yarn
fiberfill
tapestry needle

SIZE: About 2" across

DIRECTIONS:

Using 1 strand each of Colors A and B, ch 4, join to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 2, 7 hdc in ring, join to top of beg ch 2. (8 hdc)

Round 2: Ch 2, hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around, join to top of beg. ch 2. (16 hdc)

Round 3: Ch 1, sc around, join to ch 1 st. (16 sc)

Round 4: Ch 1, *sc next 2 sc tog, repeat * around, join to ch 1 st, fasten off leaving about a 12" strand of each color or yarn. (8 sc)

FINISHING: Using tapestry needle, weave 12" strand of yarn between every other sc in Round 4, stuff ball with fiberfill, then pull strand tight so that opening on top of ball closes, ch 10 to form loop and attach to beg. ch, end off.
